Academic Success Centers and Tutoring
Academic Success Centers and Residential Education Study Lounges are located in all three of our Residence Hall areas. If you have questions about these areas, contact Residential Education 645-2008.
Academic Success Centers provide:- Study space
- Tutoring
- Classroom space available for sign-out
URH&A study centers are specifically designed to help students with academic transition issues. The study centers provide a quiet place to study and an environment in which students can engage in small group work.
Tutoring Program
Free tutoring is available Sunday through Thursday, 7 pm to 10 pm at the Blake Center, the Clement Study Lounge and the Jones Center. Tutoring is provided in various subjects with emphasis on classes first-year students take including chemistry, biology, English, physics, accounting, math and economics.

There is a high demand for tutoring and we are always looking for tutors. If you are interested in being a tutor, contact the Residential Education or Blake Center staff.
2008 – 2009 Hours (no tutoring is available during summer)
Blake Center (located at 167 Millard Fillmore Academic Center, Ellicott Complex)
Monday – Thursday: 9 am to Midnight (Summer open 9 am - 5 pm)
Friday: 9 am to 8 pm
Saturday: 12 pm to 8 pm
Sunday: Noon to Midnight
Drop-in Tutoring Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 7 pm - 10 pm
Jones Center (located in the basement of Clinton Hall, Governor’s Complex)
Sunday – Thursday: Noon to Midnight
Friday and Saturday: Noon to 8 pm (Closed during the summer)

Clement Study Lounge (located on the first floor of Clement Hall, South Campus)
The lounge is open at all times and is staffed as follows:
